This position is part of Cargill's AgHorizons business unit, which serves farm customers in the United States by providing products and services including grain origination and storage, grain marketing resources and advice, crop input products such as seed and fertilizer, agronomic advice and information services. This position is responsible for the overall operations performance of a Farm Service Group (FSG). The FSG Operations Leader will have the responsibility to lead, motivate, and engage employees to operate facilities and equipment according to the FSG's vision and mission. Ensure efficient operation of facilities within Federal/State regulations and Cargill AgHorizons policy. Must lead operations budgeting, cost tracking and control, so profit analysis can help in business decisions. This position reports to the FSG Leader and is a key member of the FSG Leadership Team. Principal Accountabilities: 40% Ensure a positive work environment and achieve operational objectives through people management, organizational development, employee engagement and employee development. 15% Identify productivity improvements and opportunities utilizing new processes, equipment, technology or facility synergies to improve operating efficiency. 15% Lead and coordinate Environment, Health and Safety programs within the FSG. Ensure that facilities are operated within applicable Federal and State regulations and Cargill / AgHorizons policy. 15% Proactively manage grain using M.I.A. principles including implementation of effective Shortage / Overrun programs and inventory controls.
